This policy explains how Ammer Group AG handles personal data when you visit ammerpay.com and when you contact us through it. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- No cookiesNo tracking, no analytics, no advertising.
- Only what you sendWe only receive what you choose to share with us.
- Never soldYour data is used to contact you, nothing else.
1Who is responsible
Ammer Group AG, Grabenstrasse 27, 6340 Baar, Switzerland, is responsible for this website.
For any question about your data, write to [email protected].
Exchange services are provided by Ammer Capital AG, VQF member no. 100500. When you become a merchant, Ammer Capital AG processes your data under the separate privacy notice you receive during onboarding.
2No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Our fonts are hosted on our own servers, so no data is sent to Google.
The only exception is the booking calendar (section 5), which is provided by Calendly and only loads if you choose to open it.
If you arrive through a campaign link, the campaign tags in the address (utm_…) are kept in your browser for the current visit only and are sent along with a contact request, so we know which campaign brought you to us. They are deleted when you close the tab.
3When you contact us
If you use the contact form, we receive the email address or phone number you enter and, if you choose one, your preferred call time. We also receive the language of the page, the page and button you used, the website you came from and any campaign tags.
We use this only to contact you about Ammer Pay and to understand which parts of our website work. If you write to us by email, we use your message and contact details for the same purpose.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your request and, under the GDPR, steps taken at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
4WhatsApp
If you choose to message us on WhatsApp, we see your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name and the messages you send. WhatsApp is operated by WhatsApp Ireland Ltd., part of Meta, which processes this data under its own privacy policy, including in the United States.
Only use WhatsApp if you are comfortable with this. You can always reach us by email or phone instead.
5Booking a call
Our booking calendar is provided by Calendly (Calendly LLC, USA) and only loads when you open it. If you book a call, Calendly processes your name, email address and the time you choose on our behalf, only to arrange the call. Calendly may set its own cookies, which it asks you to accept or decline.
The call itself takes place on Microsoft Teams. The meeting link is sent to you after booking.
6Exchange rates, icons and server logs
To show current exchange rates, your browser requests them every 30 seconds from Ammer Capital (ammer-capital-api.ammer.io) and loads currency icons from static.ammer.io. Like every web request, these contain your IP address and browser type. We use them only to deliver the rates and keep the service secure.
Our hosting provider records technical access data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser) to deliver the website and protect it against attacks. These logs are deleted after 30 days.
7How long we keep your data
We keep contact requests as long as we need them to handle your request. If no business relationship follows, we delete them after 12 months at the latest. If you become a merchant, the statutory retention periods apply, generally 10 years under Swiss law.
8Who we share data with
We never sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website and handle requests, such as hosting, customer management and scheduling, who may process it only on our instructions, and with authorities where the law requires it.
Some providers may process data outside Switzerland and the EU/EEA. In that case we rely on an adequacy decision or on the EU standard contractual clauses, as recognised by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
9Your rights
You can ask us at any time which data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use and receive it in a common electronic format. Simply write to [email protected].
You can also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, if you live in the EU/EEA, with the data protection authority of your country.
10Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our website or services change. The date at the top shows the current version.
